Hi!
Thank you for everyone that has put in Christmas care package orders! I am still accepting them through Christmas if you’re looking for a fun sweet treat to send to a loved one!
One of my favorite items in this round of care packages is my Cinnamon Cardamom Coffee Cake.

When I was living in the Hamptons for the summer, I would often treat myself to a caradmom iced coffee from Hampton Chutney Co. I still think about that ice coffee quite often actually. It was so, so delicious. So this coffee cake is inspired by my beloved ice coffee! I think the subtle, yet floral flavor of cardamom pairs so well with cinnamon and baked goods, and this coffee cake is no exception!
A buttery cake, cinnamon cardamom swirl center, and a nice buttery cinnamon cardamom crumb topping. This would be the perfect thing to make for Christmas brunch!
Start by mixing the cinnamon cardamom swirl center: Just mix together brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and cardamom and set aside.

Next mix together the crumb topping, which is melted butter, cinnamon, cardamom, and flour, and set aside.

For the cake batter, cream together butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Then add in the eggs, vanilla, and sour cream (this makes it extra moist, sorry for everyone that hates that word but its true!). Next add your dry ingredients: (flour, baking powder, salt) and slowly pour in the milk while the dry ingredients are mixing in!

Set up the assembly line to make the cake! Since I am making these for my care packages I am using these mini loaf pans, but this recipe will make a 9 by 13 inch cake or 2 standard sized loaves.

All ready to bake! Make sure you pat the crumb topping down into the batter so that it doesn’t fall off after its baked. This cake is so delicious you guys! I hope you give it a try!
